Nachhaltig die medizinische Versorgung verbessern
Insbesondere in den ländlichen Gebieten Kenias ist Zugang zu augenärztlicher Versorgung zum Teil gar nicht gegeben. Junge, ambitionierte Mediziner aus diesen Regionen würden gerne in ihrer Heimat tätig werden. Es fehlt ihnen jedoch oft an den finanziellen Mitteln, die Ausbildung zu beginnen oder zu Ende zu bringen. Wenn diese Kenianer bei einer zweijährigen Ausbildung unterstützt werden, kann eine ganze Region davon profitieren.
Unterstützung für Boaz
Boaz selbst erzählt uns:
„I have, for so long had the passion and desire to specialise in opthalmology to be an Opthalmic Clinical Officer but I have never had the chance because I don't have the financial capability to do so. I can't get any access to any source of finance and I can't rely on home support because we are struggling to meet our daily basic needs.“
Jeder Euro zählt, um Boaz die Ausbildung zum Ophthalmic Clinical Officer zu ermöglichen und somit die augenärztliche Versorgung vor Ort zu verbessern. Die gesamte Ausbildung inklusive benötigtem Material kostet für 2 Jahre gut 3.500 €.

Felix berichtet uns von seinen Plänen:
"To work with governmental and non-governmental organizations to provide essential services to less and most vulnerable groups in the society who are suffering from eye conditions. To organize seminars and outreaches in the rural areas in order to identify those in need of ophthalmic services. To work closely with special schools in order to provide care to the students with visual impairment and other conditions.“
