Sustainable improving medical care
Especially in rural areas of Kenya, access to ophthalmological care is sometimes not available at all. Young, ambitious physicians from these regions would like to work in their home countries. However, they often lack the financial means to start or complete their training. If these Kenyans are supported in a two-year training, an entire region can benefit.

Fees and supplies for Boaz
Boaz himself tells us:
„I have, for so long had the passion and desire to specialise in opthalmology to be an Opthalmic Clinical Officer but I have never had the chance because I don't have the financial capability to do so. I can't get any access to any source of finance and I can't rely on home support because we are struggling to meet our daily basic needs.“
Every Euro counts to enable Boaz to become an ophthalmic clinical officer. The entire training, including the necessary material, costs a good 3,500 € for 2 years.
Enable Felix to become an ophthalmic clinical officer
Felix himself tells us about his plans:
„To work with governmental and non-governmental organizations to provide essential services to less and most vulnerable groups in the society who are suffering from eye conditions. To organize seminars and outreaches in the rural areas in order to identify those in need of ophthalmic services. To work closely with special schools in order to provide care to the students with visual impairment and other conditions.“
The training for two years costs 150 € per month. Every Euro counts.
