La misión
Empoderar a los jóvenes estudiantes kenianos para que prosperen tanto en lo académico como en el atletismo al brindarles acceso a la educación, la capacitación y el equipo esencial. Project Maisha, fundado a partir de un patrocinio por Miwa Totani Nanji, cree en nutrir no solo a atletas excepcionales, sino también a personas completas que puedan obtener una educación superior y alcanzar la excelencia en los deportes de resistencia y en la vida. El entrenamiento será en Iten, El Hogar de los Campeones, a una altitud de 2400M.
La historia
Kenia es el hogar de algunos de los mejores atletas de resistencia que el mundo haya visto jamás. Pero detrás de los podios y las medallas se esconde una realidad diferente: innumerables jóvenes superdotados permanecen invisibles, sus sueños se ven empañados por las dificultades financieras, la falta de formación estructurada y la tutoría limitada.
Las partes involucradas crearon Maisha, que en swahili significa "vida", porque creen que cada persona merece una oportunidad justa. Como socios de toda la vida con profundas raíces kenianas y experiencia global, han visto el potencial. Ahora, están comprometidos a desbloquearlo.
El Proyecto Maisha es la promesa de caminar junto a los jóvenes estudiantes, para apoyarlos, guiarlos y ayudarlos a convertirse en eruditos seguros de sí mismos, atletas disciplinados y futuros brillantes.
